Our desire, with redtail, is to create adventure equipment that we could be proud of. Products that are imbued with an eco-friendly approach, functionality, and longevity. Our goal is to inspire and motivate others through our ideas – always with a focus on sustainability and our environment. We are outdoor enthusiasts and always on the search for new adventures.

Hot on the heels of a trip through Denmark, it was one year ago, in 2013, that we (Sebastian and Jan) decided to found redtail. A slackline, one which would not just be cheap and colourful, but one which works in harmony with nature, in material and usage, taking advantage of and placing value on, natures' playground, without damaging it. The days in Germany upon our return were filled with research, brainstorming sessions, sketch-ideas, and discussions... thus was the idea of redtail conceived.

In the past year we have focused intensively on materials, functions and design possibilities, taking existing individual components and inventing new, to find an individual solution with useful features. The redtail slackline set is our first product, accompanying this are t-shirts and sweatshirts, from certified organic-cotton, produced under Fairtrade working conditions.

Wir wollen mit redtail Adventure-Produkte gestalten, auf die wir stolz sein können. Produkte, die funktionstüchtig, langlebig und naturverträglich sind. Unser Ziel ist es, Andere mit unseren Ideen zu begeistern und zu inspirieren – immer mit dem Bewusstsein für unsere Umwelt und Nachhaltigkeit. Wir sind Freiluftoptimisten und lieben es, draußen zu sein, stets auf der Suche nach neuen Abenteuern.

Vor einem Jahr (2013) haben wir (Sebastian und Jan) beschlossen, redtail zu gründen. Mit einer Idee, die uns während eines Trips durch Dänemark kam. Eine Slackline, die mehr ist, als bunt und billig und welche die Natur als Freiluftspielplatz begreift, der nicht bloß benutzt, sondern auch wertgeschätzt werden will. Zurück in Deutschland verbrachten wir die Tage mit Recherchen, Brainstormings, Skizzenanfertigungen und Diskussionen – und redtail entwickelte sich.

Im vergangenen Jahr haben wir uns intensiv mit Materialien, Funktionalitäten und Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten auseinandergesetzt, Einzelkomponenten um- und neukonzipiert und nützliche Eigenschaften hinzugefügt. Herausgekommen ist unser erstes Produkt. Das redtail slackline set. Hinzugekommen sind unsere ersten T-Shirts und Sweatshirts aus zertifizierter Bio-Baumwolle, die von fair bezahlten Arbeitskräften hergestellt wird.
